The ZBE in Sóller is the Low Emission Zone established by Sóller Town Council in the town centre of Mallorca to restrict vehicle access, reduce traffic and improve air quality.

However, there is an important detail: in Sóller, the restrictions do not operate exactly like a conventional Low Emission Zone based solely on the DGT environmental sticker. Their main purpose is to restrict access to the town centre for unauthorised vehicles.

How does it work?

Location: It mainly affects the urban centre of Sóller, within a clearly defined and signposted perimeter.

Monitoring: Through cameras that automatically read vehicle registration plates.

Authorised vehicles: Residents' vehicles, 100% electric vehicles and other vehicles that meet the exemptions established by the local regulations and have the corresponding authorisation.

Rental vehicles: They do not have unrestricted access simply because they are rental vehicles. They must qualify for an exemption and obtain the relevant authorisation where required.

Operating hours: The regulations are intended to apply 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

How much is the fine?

€200

The usual fine for entering the Sóller Low Emission Zone without authorisation is €200, with the possibility of a 50% reduction for early payment, provided the legal requirements are met.

Where exactly is it located?

You can consult the Town Council's official map:

Map and access information for the Sóller Low Emission Zone.

An important point for offUgo: receiving a notification for an infringement in Sóller does not necessarily mean that the vehicle lacked an environmental sticker. It may simply mean that the vehicle entered the restricted area without the corresponding authorisation.

Therefore, in communications, it is advisable to identify the offence as unauthorised access to the Sóller Low Emission Zone rather than attributing it exclusively to the absence of an environmental sticker.
